I like to say, 1+1 = 11. While you may not agree with my math, let me explain.

Did you know a single Clydesdale, the docile, smart and sturdy draft horse weighing between 700 and 1000 kg, can pull 4 tonnes (8800 lbs)? One might assume two Clydesdales should be able to pull double, right?

The truth is, two can pull 10 tonnes (22000 lbs), 50% more than if you were to simply double the load one horse can pull. Imagine the additional productivity and effectiveness for a team.
