Three C’s of Strengths-Based Leadership

Ever notice how many things come in threes... 💥 The Three Musketeers 💥 Three primary colours 💥 Three strikes in baseball There's a natural balance with three. So imagine my surprise when I realized a collaboration developed over three pivotal connections. That connection lead to our first in-person launch of the Business Leadership Breakthrough™ program just over a year ago at the EXCELerate 2024 Conference in Vancouver. Ironically, the first encounter was at the same conference in 2017. We bonded over my lost purse at the airport. 👜 You learn a lot about people in a crisis – and this connection turned out to be foundational.😅 She admired my unflappable demeanour, positive attitude and take-action style. I appreciated her caring, practical support and attention to detail. 🙏 So why am I sharing this? 👀 Because these are attributes that drive Hilda Gan and me in everything we do. We don't focus on fixing. We believe in growth and success based on strengths. Many of us have never recognized our natural strengths. Or worse, we've been swayed by others not to use them! Can you relate? For example, my Mom could never understand how I could cook without a recipe, and I marvelled at how much she enjoyed simply reading a cookbook. Lucky for me, I was not forced to do things "her way". And meals turned out just fine. The fact is, we are more productive and satisfied when we embrace our natural style. This is equally true in business and in life. Over the next few posts, I'll be sharing the Three C's for embracing our strengths.

The third encounter for Hilda and me was when we were both speaking at a virtual conference in November 2022. Curious to hear each other's presentation, we could see we shared a vision of what was missing in the world of business. We had the first inkling of a joint mission! And finally in 2023, Hilda and I rolled up our sleeves and dove in. As of today, together we have facilitated over 200 participants in 8 live or virtual workshops. Plus, we just wrapped up a deep-dive 8-week program with a stellar group of participants from a wide range of industries and locations. The ah-ha moments are incredible! Our goal is to bring crystal clarity to all our participants, so they can truly leverage their natural advantages. The combination of two seasoned business owner-coaches with two complementary tools is helping frustrated and overwhelmed business owners and leaders who want an easier way to reach new levels of success, without the burnout.
