Scientists recently confirmed sightings of the elusive giant squid, living thousands of meters below the ocean’s surface in the "Twilight Zone," a cold, pitch-black, high-pressure world.

Despite harsh conditions, these 12–15-meter giants thrive.

They use eight of their 10 limbs for movement, reserving the remaining two for survival essentials like feeding.

They also use bioluminescence, a natural light source, to communicate in total darkness.
