Summer vibes are here ☀️ (finally)!
Are you feeling the energy shift?
It's been three years since my mom passed, and the anniversary gives me pause to reflect.
If you've been there, you know how numbing and vulnerable loss can feel.
To manage my grief and continue to show up for my clients and team, I decided to limit what I might normally engage in during the summer and focus on moments of joy.
I committed to activities that elevated my energy, not to erase my grief.
As a business owner, founder, professional, or leader, many of us are hanging on or hanging in. It feels like survival mode.
I invite you to consider how you can use this season to invest in your energy. And perhaps create a lifetime habit.
Are you committed to recharging your batteries? 🔋
Whether you're taking vacation time away, or simply spending more time with family, friends, or attending outdoor events, festivals or simply on a patio, have you considered the importance of focusing on adding more joy to your days?
One remedy to ward off the effects of burnout is to invest in joyful pursuits.
This may include:
1️⃣ Sharing your time with others (fulfilling relationships)
2️⃣ Activities that give you energy (hikes; reading; painting; gardening...)
3️⃣ Places that lift your spirits (in nature or cultural experiences)
Personally, I discovered I need time outdoors, time with family and friends and time alone.
My favorite way to recharge is to find situations that allow me to combine all three.
For example, outdoor activities like skiing, cycling or time on the water are powerful for me. As are visits to museums or galleries or artistic performances.
It's different for each of us, so how will you commit to investing in your joy this summer? 😎
