The Leadership Advantage Most People Miss

Impagination February 2026 Newsletter

My mom was a teacher, and she used to say, “It takes all kinds to make the world go ’round.”

By “kinds,” she meant people.

She genuinely believed every student she taught had something special, something that made them shine in their own way. And she treated them that way.

Because of that, she made a real difference in their confidence, especially for kids who didn’t always have someone cheering them on at home.

I know how lucky I am to have grown up with a mom like that. She never compared her children. She celebrated our efforts and wins, without judgment.

That’s probably why I get concerned when I hear from hundreds of business owners, professionals, and leaders who share the same frustrations:

🚀 leading teams
🤝 managing clients
📈 driving sales
💼 delivering projects

Growing the business feels harder than it should!

Here’s what I’ve noticed.

Until leaders truly understand who they are, how they naturally shine, and what they uniquely contribute, it’s tough to recognize it in others.

And without that authenticity, building trust and confidence with others becomes an uphill battle.

A bit of research confirmed this isn’t isolated. Leaders across industries, company sizes and cultures are experiencing the same challenges. Chances are, you’ve been there too.

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing the most common issues leaders have expressed, along with practical remedies to consider.

If your growth, revenue, and long-term success depend on your leadership, consider this a reminder.

Just like my mom believed, embracing the fact that we’re all wired differently may be the competitive advantage you didn’t even realize you had.

Be sure to check out this month’s blog, where I break down the second most costly reason leaders experience frustration, and what you can do about it.
