Client experience tips from the beach

Have you ever encountered amazing customer service while on vacation? I recently did.

Ah… views of the sunrise, feet in warm sand, surf lapping the shore, clear and refreshing turquoise waters, miles of beach to roam — fabulous set-up for an ocean-side vacation!🌴

I admit, this was the ideal recipe for a relaxing long-awaited vacation. I was equally delighted by the resort staff. Always smiling. Always looking to say “Yes” to our requests. And forever responding with “Excellent”!

“Excellent” is a complete sentence.

“We’d like to dine outside.” “Excellent! I’ll make that happen for you. What time do prefer?”

“Excellent” is also a response, as in, “How are you?” “Excellent, how are you?”

And it’s an adjective, for example, “Have an excellent day!”

Other staff phrases I fondly remember; instead of “No problem”, it was “My pleasure”. And “Happy to help!”, “Absolutely!”, and “Great question… I’ll find the answer for you.”

This resort staff definitely knew how to use words to create a warm, welcoming and personal experience. I felt confident and comfortable in this new environment.

Over the summer, if you’re traveling or vacationing, listen for words that boost your vibe. Practice by sharing high vibe words with others. This will help you appreciate the effect. I highly recommend adding “Excellent” to your daily conversations.

What invitations will you say YES to, or even “Heck Ya”? Notice your energy when you think about it and say it aloud. How can you share this positive experience and energy with your clients?
